Native American Heritage Month
November is a month to recognize, celebrate, and learn more about Native American culture.
In the video below, Carthage student Abigail Davidson ’25 discusses her Native American culture, and how she founded and is the current president of the Native American Student Association at Carthage. Abby is a member of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa.
In 1990, President George H. W. Bush signed into law a join resolution designating the month of November as National American Indian Heritage Month, now called Native American Heritage Month. Native American Heritage Month is a time to remember and honor indigenous communities.
We ask that you use November to honor and learn more about indigenous people and get involved with the Native American Student Association at Carthage!
